The Silence is a confident and a well-written thriller that will keep you reading well into the night, yes it is familiar in the psychological thriller genre, but it is really enjoyable. I think Daisy Pearce is an author I will be sticking with and I’m keen to see what she releases next.
It’s tightly written and the central character, Stella, is interesting and engaging while the bad guy is nice and evil. This book was so tense I could not put it down. She lives in London, in a flat with her best friend, Caramel.

He tells her it’s all in her head, and she just needs time away from the world.I just can’t resist them… Today I'm delighted to share my thoughts on The Silence the debut thriller from author Daisy Pearce. She lives with her roommate Camel in the city, and the two girls go out together. Plus, there are some twists and turns I didn’t see coming at all…and that is hard nowadays.I do like this kind of story, even when there are many red flags. Saying all that, you also get a very good story, which means even if you are like me – somewhat jaded – you will probably still enjoy it. But are the pills just helping her sleep, or helping her avoid her problems? This one sounds as if it’s a cut about the rest…:) Thank you for sharing, Emma. The Silence is one of those books that sounds right up my street based on the blurb. 324 reviews.
