We visted our first cenote (you need to pay separately) and it was heart stopping experience - firstly … I rented a car and it was well worth it. However my 9 & 11 year old climed them all...all the way to the top.Getting there is tricky and not sure if you have worked something out yet. We thought that was a bit steep.I believe the admission fee is 185 pesos.
The entrance fee is very high - only for tourists of course. Just be careful as steps are short in depth as Mayans had little feet. So not sure. $145.00 per adult.

Discounts are available to locals with a valid ID and free for Mexican nationals (or immigrants with visas) on Sundays. Most open cenotes though have more opaque water since leaves and dust fall into them. We mainly recommend taking the package with bike and cenote combined.

There are no shallow areas for young children. I am 69 and just stepped sideways on the stairs as they are narrow, but the steps are in good condition.My kids are 13 and 14 and they both loved it, specially the main building.
I must admit it's expensive for what you get. The water has a darker hue to is not a crystal clear water cenote.

The restaurant is on the north end of Temozon and has a large palapa roof. $173.90 per adult. There are some spots that are definitely unsafe if a young child is not watched. just be aware and you should be fine. For instance half way up the acropolis to the left is the Jaguar alter. There is one rope swing where you can drop into the water.

It is only possible with a car since there is no public transportation options available nor taxi. After you travel down the trail to the cenote you know you have arrived when you see this sign.Stairs have been built that lead you down to the water here at Cenote Fantasma.This is the small town you pass through on your way to Ek Balam if you are heading north from Valladolid. Ekbalam is open from 8am to 5pm.For us as well, the trip was part of a larger trip which included Mayan Cenote so don't know what cost would be just for Ek Balam.
